Curaçao faces west, which means the sunsets are serious. The sky goes orange, then pink, then purple — and it happens fast. You want to be in position with something cold in hand about 30 minutes before the sun actually hits the horizon.

When: Year-round, but October through January gives you the most dramatic skies. Arrive 30 minutes before sunset to get a spot.
Try: Whatever is cold and local — a Curaçao craft beer, a rum-based drink, or the house cocktail. The view does most of the work.

Blastbar Qrasow at Megapier 1 in Willemstad is the most direct waterfront option. The pier position means nothing is between you and the water when the sun drops. It gets busy at this time of day but the trade-off is worth it.
