I emailed a request for 2 (4 people) beds near the pool. We didn't end up there but rather at the newer wooden beds where I promptly struck my head on the corner beam. These beds are nice but not high enough for anyone over 5'6". The staff were all great...kudos there. The meal was ok...nothing to write home about. The music got very loud at 4 pm. And what's up with paying an entrance fee???? I've been to this beach 4 years in a row and have never been asked for an entrance fee until today. Not sure the experience was worth $80 for the use of the bed. And we used to get 2 bottles of water..now only 1.

The ambience is great. Beautiful setting. Note that the bar at the beach had pretty loud music until about 8:30. Service was good until we got our food, but after that we had to ask for more wine, to pick up our plates, for the dessert menu, to take our dessert order, and then to get our bill. Dinner for two took three hours and 15 minutes with us checking in at 6:15 PM on a Friday night. So, severely understaffed. The steak medium rare was cooked perfectly. They started us with a cold zucchini soup that was incredible. The duck did not have crispy skin which you would expect. We ordered the side of vegetables and they were delicious and perfectly cooked, a bit crunchy, but they were over salted. The pumpkin and ice cream dessert with absolutely magnificent. The Pinot noir and roséwine was delicious. The price in US dollars was shockingly cheap.
