The flavors here are unique. I think it's a blend of Caribbean and Dutch, and quite scrumptious. The blackened shrimp and red snapper was perfectly seasoned and cooked. It's not Louisiana blackened so don't be expecting that. The flavor itself was lighter and easier to down, probably the Dutch influence. Some times, too much spice is hard for the stomach and senses. The salsa/sauce that came with it was unique, heavier on the cucumbers and celery but really tasty. I think I actually prefer it over the traditional salsa. I know some people said the veggies weren't seasoned but I'm fairly sure they were cooked in some kind of broth. For me, my husband, and 8 year old, it was delicious. My husband loved my dish more than his, but his surf and turf was also perfectly cooked and delicious as well. Also, the red sangria was on point.
